A week of MISTAKES: Day 2

Yesterday we talked about the first of 5 massive mistakes a business can make when working with a client:

  1. Not meeting the Clients Expectations


Today we are going to discuss mistake number two and the best way to handle the situation when it arises.

2.     Mishandling a Client Crisis

Crises are unavoidable; they will happen from time to time, but the way you respond and fix them will define your company. Your response to a client crisis must be quick and effective. This will help gain trust and confidence from your client.

Here are a few actions that can help you deal with a client’s crisis:

  • Take responsibility and apologize no matter who is at fault.
  • Act swiftly and effectively.
  • Step in and take control of the situation.
  • Never point fingers or place blame.
  • Stay in constant communication with your client.
  • Stay calm and sincere throughout the situation.
  • Keep your eye on the goal.

It is important to know the mistakes that can devastate the deal when working with clients or prospects. This will help you better avoid making these errors as well as having a plan of action in case crisis arises.
